The dialogue and story telling is still brilliant, but this book actually has a more serious undertone and thus less lighter comedy moments that I expect from a Julia Quinn book. This book has a different feel to it than the other books in the series. I loved Iris, I thought she was an amazing character. She is thoughtful, considered, and intelligent, and eventually, her ideas lead to a satisfying HEA. Iris, however, is an amazing counter-foil. Sir Richard definitely has good intentions and reasons for his behaviour, but as may be expected, his plan is absolutely the wrong one. Iris, however, does not know the true reasons for the hasty arrangement.
